I enjoy reading and writing about all aspects of history, in which I hold a degree. I am particularly interested in the medieval period, but my interests range from ancient times through to modern day, alternative histories and myths and legends from around the world. You will also find plenty of articles on the martial arts; I hold a second degree black belt in Shotokan karate which I have been studying for over twenty years.

Yoou are right, Fenrir is not a werewolf, but is important in the history surrounding the mthology of the werewolf and as he has human qualities such as communicating with humanoid gods. He was not born to a wolf and has super strengh, it could be argues he was an early example of what became the werewolf in popular folk lore.
